Important limitations for LumaProbe browser estimates, diagnostic tools, provider links and general guidance.
Diagnostic estimates
LumaProbe measurements are estimates affected by browser behaviour, device performance, local traffic, Wi-Fi or Ethernet, provider routing, server distance and server load. They describe the path to LumaProbe at the time of the test and are not a contractual line-speed measurement, professional network certification or guarantee of future performance.
A successful result does not prove that every service is healthy. A failed result does not by itself prove that a provider or website is down. Repeat comparisons, official provider diagnostics and qualified help may be required.
Permitted use
Use the tools lawfully and reasonably. The HTTP checker is limited to public HTTP and HTTPS destinations on standard ports and blocks private or reserved destinations. Do not attempt to evade those controls, overload the service, test systems without authorisation, inject harmful input or interfere with other visitors.
Automated high-volume access and attempts to discover or enter the private administration area are prohibited. Security issues should be reported through LumaContact without exposing visitor data.
Guidance, links and purchases
Guides provide general information and do not replace legal, electrical, building, cybersecurity or provider-specific professional advice. Do not open powered or provider-owned infrastructure. External websites control their own information, availability and privacy practices.
Equipment links can earn commission. Compatibility, seller, safety, price and suitability remain the buyer’s responsibility. Nothing on LumaProbe creates a promise that a purchase will repair a connection.
Availability and changes
LumaProbe may change, rate-limit or withdraw a tool to protect security, reliability or data use. Content is reviewed, but external rules and links can change. Material errors can be reported for correction.
