Privacy policy
How LumaProbe handles connection tests, local history, hosting logs, affiliate redirects, consent and optional Google services.
Overview
LumaProbe does not require a public account. Its diagnostic tools must process technical request information to send a response, just as any website does. The public application does not write speed-test results or displayed public IP addresses to a central test-history database. Result history is stored in the visitor’s own browser when local storage is available.
This policy covers lumaprobe.com. The external LumaContact service and websites reached through official, affiliate or source links have their own policies.
Connection tests and technical requests
The speed, latency, DNS, IP and HTTP tools send requests to the LumaProbe server. The server necessarily receives network information such as the source IP address, requested path, time, user agent and proxy headers supplied along the delivery path. The application uses that information to return the check, apply security limits and protect private destinations from the HTTP tool.
The hosting platform, content-delivery network, firewall and security systems may keep technical logs according to their configuration and legitimate security needs. Do not enter confidential internal hostnames or credentials into public diagnostic fields.
Browser storage
The language preference, consent choice and speed-test history can be stored locally in the browser. History can be viewed, exported and cleared from the site; it can also be removed through browser site-data controls. Clearing browser storage can remove those preferences and results.
Administrator sessions use essential security storage. The hidden administration area is not intended for public accounts.
Optional Google analytics and advertising
Google Analytics loads only when the operator has configured it and the visitor accepts optional analytics through the LumaProbe prompt. Google AdSense, when enabled, uses the consent and privacy choices configured through Google’s certified Privacy & messaging platform. If an integration is disabled or incomplete, LumaProbe does not create an empty advertising placement.
Google and its partners may process information under their own terms and policies when their services load. Google explains how it uses information from sites and apps that use its services on its business-data-responsibility page linked below. Browser and Google controls may provide additional ways to manage personalised advertising or analytics.
Affiliate redirects
Some guide and equipment-category links redirect through LumaProbe before opening Amazon. The application can increment an aggregate daily click total for the selected category. That click record does not store the visitor’s IP address. Amazon can process the resulting visit under its own policies and may attribute a qualifying purchase to LumaProbe’s associate tag.
Official status and editorial-source links normally go directly to the named organisation. LumaProbe does not receive private provider account or outage telemetry.
Questions and rights
Privacy questions, access or deletion requests relating to data controlled by LumaProbe can be submitted through LumaContact. Include enough information to identify the request but do not send passwords. Some security log information may be controlled or retained by the hosting and protection providers under their own legal obligations.
