LumaProbe publishes practical diagnostic guidance. This policy explains how that material is produced, what evidence is preferred and how commercial relationships are kept separate from test results.
Scope and audience
The site is written for people trying to understand a home, mobile or small-office internet problem. It aims to make sensible first checks understandable without pretending that a browser can replace provider line diagnostics or professional network testing. Content stays within internet performance, Wi-Fi, DNS, service availability and closely related equipment.
Pages should help a reader decide what to test next, what a result does and does not establish, and when to contact a provider. Content is not commissioned to chase unrelated trends and should not be published solely because a keyword appears popular.
Research standards
Technical descriptions of LumaProbe tools are checked against the application code and the actual request sequence. Provider status links are taken from the provider’s official website. UK contract, complaints and dispute-resolution statements use current Ofcom material where possible. Standards organisations, government bodies and original product documentation are preferred over unattributed summaries.
Sources are linked where a claim could change, where the reader may need the authoritative detail, or where a guide refers to a formal rule. A source link is not an endorsement of every statement on that external website.
Authorship and review
Content is published by the LumaProbe Editorial Team. Each substantial guide shows its review date and links to this policy. Reviews check factual accuracy, clarity, broken links, the relationship between advice and tool behaviour, and whether any purchase suggestion remains necessary and proportionate.
No professional engineering certification is claimed. The site separates measured facts, implementation details, practical experience and general guidance. Where a result cannot support a conclusion, the limitation should be stated plainly.
Use of drafting and translation tools
Software-assisted drafting and translation may be used to organise material and create language versions. Every published page is manually checked for consistency with the intended diagnostic method and for claims that would require external verification. Automated text is not published as a live outage report, a product test, a customer experience or a professional credential.
Translated pages should preserve the same caveats as the English source. Provider and product names remain unchanged where they are proper names. If a translation is incomplete, it should not be presented as a finished local-language page.
Advertising and affiliate independence
Google advertising, when enabled, appears only on pages with substantial publisher content and is kept away from the primary diagnostic controls. Legal, navigation, error and status-link pages do not carry LumaProbe ad placements. Empty advertising placeholders are not shown when advertising is disabled or not fully configured.
Amazon links may earn a commission without changing the buyer’s price. They are included only after diagnostic guidance and only where a product category could address the identified problem. LumaProbe does not describe a product as personally tested unless that testing actually occurred and can be explained.
Corrections and updates
Correction requests are reviewed against the page, application behaviour and reliable sources. Minor wording changes may be made without a separate notice. A material change to the method, a consumer-rights rule or a conclusion should update the visible review date and, where useful, explain the changed point.
External links are checked periodically, but provider websites can move without notice. A broken official-status link should be reported through LumaContact with the affected LumaProbe page. The team will replace it with an official destination rather than an unverified outage aggregator.
